Past Interns

Rachel Gart (University of Virginia, Class of 2007)

"My time as a summer analyst at the Wolf Group was by far my most worthwhile internship experience. It was clear that the firm was focused on what I was gaining from the internship, and on several occasions I was asked what changes could be made to the program in order to further improve my learning. What I appreciated the most about my experience was the creative freedom. I was always welcome to pursue a topic of particular interest or to delve further into a task. I was also free to offer suggestions, which I felt everyone seriously took into consideration. Most importantly, I didn’t feel like an "intern." Even though I was only there for ten weeks, the people at the firm really made me feel like a part of the team."

"As an intern for The Wolf Group, you quickly get a feel for the company. TWG is a boutique firm with a very open culture. Everyone’s door is always open, and questions are encouraged, so you can really learn a lot quickly. Throughout the entire internship process, it was clear that TWG works hard to make the internship worthwhile and productive for the interns. You get personal attention and training from all levels of the organization. I was involved in meaningful projects in several different areas during my internship, which helped me get to know coworkers in different lines of work. This provided me the opportunity to see which parts of the business I was most interested in, as well. You also get to know your coworkers through a variety of company outings. Examples include Washington Nationals baseball games, crab dinners in Arlington, happy hours, etc. The people and the culture of TWG were some of the main reasons I wanted to work for the firm full-time."

Anika Kim (University of Virginia, Class of 2009)

"My internship at the Wolf Group was a great learning experience. Due to the firm’s smaller size and supportive atmosphere, I was able to gain practical, hands-on experience and receive high levels of personal input from seasoned professionals. I was given a range of exciting assignments from researching alternative investments to constructing investment portfolios. I also had an opportunity to work with the firm’s tax department which allowed me to gain more insight into the "complete" wealth management. The work that I did during my eight weeks, and the people that I worked with made me realize that the Wolf Group is the kind of firm that I would like to work for full time."
